Final day. Started early again. Wind gave us a battering in the night but other than crazy flapping sound of tent all seems in order. we were already three miles in to our programmed eighteen and a bit miles but time was tight if we were to get back to the car tonight. Excellent pace meant brekky next to a river at 0815. Fairly easy going but one bugger of a hill. farmer chatted to us at lunch. Heavens opened for the last three odd miles. Lightening just overhead. Arrived welshpool at around four pm. Got changed in a glass box. A railway station waiting room to be exact. unluckily for dan today was the day he experimented without pants. There was a young girl in the waiting room. Say no more. Got a taxi back to knighton. Driver had been to egypt for two weeks. Left knighton about half six. Drove through worse rain ever. Arrived home half ten after picking up a beer. Test walk over. A success of sorts.
