No rain today. Nice one. Left fort bill and started our journey north east along the caledonian canal. A series of locks called neptune's staircase saw a 1943 steamer pull in. Soon invited on for cheese and biscuits and haggis ceremonny. Pic shows boat. Pushed out some more miles and camped just at the start of loch lochy. Temp dropped to about 4 degrees in the night so chilly start. Glorious scenery, best of the walk i reckon.

Hey its Kris here. Just thought I'd check out the site to see how your doing. Me and Andy finished the west highland way on wednesday and spent the night in a hostel in Fort William. I'm back home now, where theres a lot less midges. Good Luck with the rest of the walk, and hopefully Justin you'll have a go at doing some climbing afterwards. K

Absolutely brilliant... every time I check the site it blows me away just how far you've gone in so little time.
I love the old steamer too... how was the haggis?
Stroll on,
