viewing entry : A rest day

12/08/2006 17:06 by Justin

After 35 days of continuous walking and with the weather in our favour a hard fought for rest day is being taken. Of course rest day means launder and wash and equipment maintenance but we are generally off our feet and not carrying the weight. As it is a rest day we have allowed ourselves a campsite or more precisely a field at the back of a cottage. Unbelievably the guy has a helicopter in his garage!. Back to the grind tomorrow and looking forward to the 500 miles.

I really can't keep up with M & D Hawkes!! I agree about the weather. Very sad as it is carnival day in Herne Bay and I am afraid I've chickened out and stayed in the house with the central heating turned on! Did sneak out for a tatoo today though. Glad you're having a rest.
