why? - the kent air ambulance

Kent Air Ambulance LogoThe success of the Kent Air Ambulance since 1989 has only been possible through the generosity of our supporters: the people of Kent. However, to guarantee this essential, life saving service into the future we still need your support. The Kent Air Ambulance Trust is a fast, reliable emergency service funded entirely by public donations, we do not receive any financial support from the Government, National Lottery or NHS.

Did you know it costs £1.5 million each year to provide Kent with an air ambulance 7 days a week, 365 days a year? That’s over £4000 a day to ensure every person living; working and travelling through the county every day can do so safe in the knowledge the Kent Air Ambulance will be there should they ever need it.

Our crew of highly trained pilots and paramedics, from their helicopter base in Marden, can reach the furthest point of Kent within 15 minutes, meaning patients can be in hospital, receiving the urgent medical treatment the need within minutes.
